James Slater [Parents] was born in 1758. He died on 29 Jun 1827 and was buried in Church of St Mary, Dalton. James Slater married Isabel.

Robert Slater [Parents] was born in 1820 in Newton, Lancashire and was christened on 12 Nov 1820 in Church of St Mary, Dalton. He died in 1879. Robert Slater married Sarah.

James Slater [Parents] was born in 1734. He died on 22 Mar 1810 and was buried in Church of St Mary, Dalton. James Slater married Jane Bell.

Jane Bell was born in 1738. She died on 10 Oct 1818 and was buried in Church of St Mary, Dalton. Jane Bell married James Slater.

  M iv John Slater was born in 1764 and was christened on 13 May 1764. He died on 13 Aug 1765 and was buried on 15 Aug 1765.
  M v John Slater was born in 1767.

edward deason was born about 1758 and was christened on 26 Feb 1757 in dalton. He died on 19 Jan 1814 in newton and was buried on 21 Jan 1814 in dalton. edward deason married Mary Slater on 15 Mar 1783 in dalton.

Mary Slater was born in 1761 in Newton, Lancashire and was christened on 19 Jul 1761 in dalton. She died on 5 Apr 1829 and was buried on 17 Apr 1829 in Dalton in Furness Cemetry, Lancashire. Mary Slater married edward deason on 15 Mar 1783 in dalton.

n.b. apparent contradiction between dalton parish register which indicates burial 14th august 1772 , and dalton churchyard m.i. which indicates died 5th april 1829 aged 67. probable that 2 different individuals are involved.

  M ix Joseph Deason was born in 1799 and died on 18 Jan 1855.
  F x mary deason was born about 1801 in newton and was christened on 2 Aug 1801 in dalton. She died in 1814 and was buried on 1 Apr 1814 in dalton.

Terence Slater [Parents] was born on 5 Apr 1950 in Ruskington Lincs. He married Stella Maria Coles on 15 Feb 1986 in Rugby Register Office. The marriage ended in divorce.

After leaving school I started work for The General Post Office (GPO), now British Telecommunications Ltd, as an apprentice engineer. I became the Clerk of Works at Rugby Telephone Exchange and supervised extensions to the telephone equipment, including installing Rugby's first International Direct Dialling equipment.

I moved to Felixstowe in 1986 becomeing Technical/Product manager of a range of telecoms equipment. I left BT in 1996 under voulantary redundancy terms and retired at the grand old age of 48.

After leaving school I started work for The General Post Office (GPO), now British Telecommunications Ltd, as an apprentice engineer.
